Kwasuka Sukela: PMB Got Love Event Saturday 28 February 2015 from 10am – 9pm at Alexandra Park. Music. Poetry. Dance. Exhibition. Fashion Show. Four fashion designers. Four photographers. Four poets. Seven Djs. Four dance groups. Four MCs. Two hype men. Eighteen music Acts.

We are no longer a sleeping town, awake with possibilities we shall not lose our talent or skill to to Durban, Joburg, Cape Town and overseas no more. Through various art forms we rewrite Pietermaritzburg’s chapters pronouncing we can make it in our backyards – the pie is big enough for all of us to eat.

Kwasuka Sukela: PMB Got Love – the first leg of PMB’s Collaborative Event Initiative that aims to celebrate local talent and showcase talent so that we can get paid through our God-given talent. We no longer want to lose our talent to Durban, Joburg or Cape Town – our talent and skill will make a success in their back yard, we need your help. Inspired by PMB talent, hot toffee communications together with Anatoli Photography and Swaggnote, this project aims to create a platform for local talent to be celebrated, encourage the community t be actively involved in our community’s social ills while collaborating with Pietermaritzburg’s budding business owners.

Legendary Guitarist Themba Mokoena. Born in Sobantu, Themba Mokoena started playing professionally in the sixties with marabi and jazz bands such as Sobantu Strangers and Black Magic. Blending urban sounds with African soul on jazzy blue notes. Khethi’s musical journey and pursuit to establish her name as a global brand is cosmic; inspired by her need to think out of the box!
